iPhones need to yell "You dropped me!" like out of our pockets

This is what happened about 15 minutes ago. I went bonker trying to find it! I had to play its sound, but couldn’t hear but other house members woke up and found it on the hallway’s rug (no wonder, I didn’t hear a hard fall/drop). Thanks God it was at home, it played audio from an old iPhone’s Find My app, and OK.

And yes, I left a feedback to Apple. :P Thank for you reading and hopefully answering and happy new year! ;)

haha! I have scooped up my phone with a pile of clothes and put it in the drawer. Really hard to hear the lost tone that way. But thankfully not the washer!

Maybe it should when dropped “That HURTS! Be more careful!"

I agree, but only if it plays the Wilhelm Scream. :)

Nah, it should play one of the Chimes of Death. Ideally the car-crashy one from the NuBus Power Macs.

I prefer the Disney Goofy holler.

I prefer “I’ve fallen and I can’t get up!”:

Dang it, Apple! Let’s customize this please. Everyone, go leave feedbacks to add this! Haha.

Car crash was hilarious!

I actually have a Wilhelm Scream loaded on my iPhone as an available ringtone/alert tone. Stopped using it because it would shock the bejeezus out of me if it went off in a quiet room. Fun in crowded public places, though.

More likely it would call 911 because you had “fallen.”

It’s far worse with AirPods, my wife is on her 3rd set. Fortunately for her the rewards card points paid for the latest. I am going to get her a neck lanyard.

You might consider a pair of wired earbuds instead of a lanyard. Several manufacturers make inexpensive wired buds that have very good sound quality. For example, you can find Sony’s MDR-EX110AP for only $20. I’ve used an equivalent (but older) model outdoors for several years without complaint.

Beats also make Flex: Beats Flex – Wireless Earbuds – Beats but it costs more. It’s Apple approved I think since it automatically finds it in Find My once connected. Also, it can do noise cancellations like in loud passenger airplanes. At least, it’s wireless. For wireless from Sony, Sony WI-C100 Wireless In-ear Headphones | WIC100/W for $35.

Since Apple owns Beats, I’d say Beats products are Apple approved.

Heh. Hence the higher cost. Does Sony’s let you do Find My when connected like Beats’ Flex?
