iCloud Passwords Firefox extension broken?

Thought I’d check in here and see if anyone is using the iCloud Password extension on Firefox, and, if so, if anyone has noticed it not working. I’ve been using it since it was brought to my attention that Apple had taken over ownership from a third party developer last month, and it’s worked great - it allows Firefox to access Apple’s MacOS password storage. In the last week or so, though it stopped working - now when I try to use it a window pops up saying that I need to be running Sonoma or later to use it, despite the fact that I’m running the latest version of Sonoma (and the latest version of Firefox). Disabling and re-enabling the extension yields a pop-up window saying ‘“PasswordManagerBrowserExtensionHelper” is damaged and can’t be opened.’

I’m likely the only person here who prefers Firefox to Safari on a Mac, and if not the only person here who was using this extension, but thought it would be worthwhile to check to see if anyone else is having this problem. I’ve of course tried uninstalling and re-installing the extension, but exactly the same behavior happened as soon as it was reinstalled.

I’m on Sequoia 15.3. and Firefox claims to be up to date. I had no problems with the extension.

I prefer Firefox to Safari on all of my Apple hardware (Mac Firefox, iOS Firefox Focus, iPadOS Firefox Focus) for daily browsing.

I too prefer Firefox, as there are extensions I am unwilling to browse without. For now I’m sticking with 1PW, so no comment about the original question.

Followup: five days later, it seems to be working again. Looking at the “Details” page for the extension, it was updated five days ago, on January 31st. So it’s possible that if I’d just waited an extra day - or maybe just a few hours - to post about this I wouldn’t have had any issue to post about.
