How to turn off notification summaries on the Mac

I also turned it off; found it useless & annoying. Anyone know how to turn off the short text summaries that are now briefly appearing on the top right of the screen when a new Message comes in (might only occur on Macs, don’t think I’ve noticed it on iPad or iPhone)? Not only do I find them unnecessary, they’re usually completely wrong.

On Mac, I think it’s Settings / Notifications /Summarize Notifications and either turn off “Summarize Notifications” completely, or turn it off on Mail only.

I don’t use notifications on Mac, but I like the summaries on iOS and iPadOS myself - even when they’re inaccurate, for me it’s almost always very slightly inaccurate, but more importantly it gives me enough to know whether I want to read the message or delete it without bothering to read it. 18.4 added news notification summaries back after they were removed with 18.2, but apparently apps can opt out of that, and I still really miss them.

Thx very much; didn’t even know that setting existed. Maybe it’s new w/the recent updates to Sequoia. Turned it off.
