I used to be able to do that in v18. Did v26(.2) remove it?
I want to see each previous hour details.
Go to settings, battery. Under App and system activity click âview all bettery usageâ
Yes, but unlike iOS 18, you canât tap one of the hours and see the activity for just that hour.
I looked at Battery Settings just now and sure enough it seems much less useful than it used to be imho.
Even the first item, battery charge % and last charge info, has an i button and I tapped it and it wants internet access to reveal its secrets. What about my phoneâs battery usage requires internet access I am wondering⌠Anyway, back to OPâŚ
While I wasnât a big user of the Setting, I do recall being able to tap on the bar charts for more info. Now they seem to be just rounded-rectangle eye candy. And big bold type that tells me iPhones analysis of battery usage and comparisons etc. I find that icky. My phone (or Apple) is tracking my battery numbers and telling me stuff, showing it is tracking my âusual usage this time of dayâ etc. Yuck, that is none of Appleâs business. I thought I turned that sort of stuff off. Raw numbers like @ant is asking for is fine by me!
It opens the support page âUnderstanding your iPhone battery usage and healthâ. It needs internet access to gather the updated page.
Perhaps Iâm wrong, but that information is not shared with Apple - itâs simply gathered on and reported by the device.
But it sounds like you want to turn off, in Settings / Privacy & Security / Analytics & Improvements, the top option, âShare iPhone & Watch Analyticsâ. Iâm pretty sure that Apple has long reported that this data is anonymized, but you probably want to make sure that itâs off (plus maybe everything else on that page.)
Ugh, another lame change by Apple (left a feedback about this issue â letâs all leave feedbacks to bring this back). :( Even my iPhone 6+'s v12.5.7 had these hourly details. Argh! I was wondering why a specific hour my iPhone got really warm drained battery fast. I wanted to see what was doing it for that hour. :(
I have exactly the same complaint. Where do I leave feedback? Apple doesnât seem to want complaints about Settings.
Thanks
Thanks for the clarifications @ddmiller .
I do have all those âsharing/analyticsâ stuff off for a long time now. Even if the sentence is created on the iphone I still donât want it. I donât want my devices to act like they are human and converse textually or otherwise, or provide analysis instead of data. Just provide raw data and let my own puny brain see that the usage column is higher on one day vs. the next is my approach.
I find it icky and intrusive that software or companies are analysing usersâ use of devices.
