I have been using Geotag Photos Pro for several years now. How does this software compare? Is it worth the money to switch?
I use both together. I’ve been using the Geotag Photos Pro iOS app to capture my GPS locations while taking photos with my Olympus E-M1. After transferring the RAW images into my Mac, I use the desktop version of Geotag Photos to simply add the GPS locations into the RAW images.
I next import the geotagged RAW images into the MacOS Photos app. I then have Olympus RAW images interspersed with my iPhone photos from the same time frame.
I then use HoudahGeo as a great way to view and do final cleanup of the location info of both the Olympus and iPhone photos in the Photos DB. I’ve used HoudahGeo for years in this manner.
