Firefox Private Browsing window breaks non-private windows?

I’ve recently noticed that if a Private Browsing window is open in Firefox, it breaks some extensions in other, non-private windows – even if the extension isn’t set to load in the private window. So far I’ve found:

  • 1Password can’t fill page fields (e.g. userid & password)
  • In My Pocket can’t open saved pages
  • The Raindrop.io saved page indicator doesn’t appear

My questions are:

  • Is this just me, or have other people seen this?
  • Has Firefox always had this problem or is it new?

I’m currently on Firefox 139.0.1. I don’t see the problem using Firefox on Windows.
