For years now I’ve used Google to host my calendars, and accessed them via Apple’s calendar applications on my mac and iPhone. I don’t remember why. It might have been for sharing reasons.
Now I’ve started getting event invitations that somehow automatically create a new iCloud calendar when I accept them, and I cannot move them to my primary calendar.
Does anybody know what’s going on or how to fix it?
That’s the big advantage of Google Calendar—you can share them with people using other platforms.
Alas, I don’t know how to solve your problem of the automatically created iCloud calendars, but I’d suggest looking into what calendar you have set as the Default Calendar in Calendar > Preferences > General.
My default is set properly. Most invitations work properly.
I’ll keep trying to figure out what’s going on. If anybody else has suggestions, please let me know.
