Discourse issues with Safari 18.2

That seems to be it! When I check it, no Quote popup!

Very true. I just got tired of typing “Stop The Madness Pro” (I could have copied and pasted, but I was lazy :joy:).

But per my own editorial policy, I used the full term in my post first, before using the acronym, so I thought it was acceptable use.

FWIW, I am still having an issue with this, but mostly on iOS 26 and iPadOS 26, including on 26.2 26.1 [edit - typo].

Several things happen:

  1. The system “Copy / Apple Intelligence / Find” button pops up and covers the Discourse “Quote / Edit / Copy” button - generally covering the “Quote” selection, which is always the one that I want to use.

  1. Generally turning the device from portrait to landscape (or vice versa) and the back again dismisses the system button, but then…
  2. When I hit “Quote” my cursor often appears in a completely different place from where the typed input ends up.

This is with Stop The Madness Pro completely disabled, by the way.

There’s been quite a bit of discussion of various Safari issues on meta.discourse.org. I didn’t have time to read the entire thread to see if they’re talking about this one in particular.
