So I’ve had the startup chime enabled since before Big Sur. I did notice though that after installing Big Sur on this 2020 Intel MBP that the startup chime has become really loud. A simple
nvram SystemAudioVolumereveals my setting is at %10. Unless I’m mistaken, %80 is default and %00 is fully muted. Am I misunderstanding nvram’s hex format and %10 is somehow louder than %80? Or what am I missing here?
