Just in time for the Continuity Camera feature of macOS 13, the Apple Store is now selling a Belkin accessory that lets you attach your iPhone to a Mac laptop to use it as a webcam.
Wonder if that will also fit on the Studio Display?
Apparently, it will not. The Apple Store list of compatible displays only lists Mac laptops. The Belkin press release makes clear that there will be a different model for monitors and desktops. The desktop model won’t have the built-in ring grip and stand but will have a viewing angle adjustment.
However, it’s not clear which version will work on pre-2021 iMacs, which have a laptop-like edge around the screen rather than a wider flat surface.
