Apple wants Taiwan suppliers to label shipments properly

Due to recent geo-politics with Taiwan and China, Apple is instructing Taiwan suppliers to not use Made in Taiwan on components going to China. Instead, Apple wants them to use Taiwan, China or Chinese Taipei.
This is “stated” to avoid delays or confiscation of goods that would otherwise be labeled, Made in Taiwan.

Interesting? I just received a bunch of 24" iMacs that I ordered in May/June… which are labeled Made in Thailand. Wonder if a creative could make an illustration of just what Apple Products are made where…

The MacStudio I received in April was labeled ‘Made in Malaysia’ but the was shipped from South China via Hong Kong. Apparently, the major components were, in fact, manufactured in Malaysia, but the final assembly was in China.
