At its recent special event, Apple made a slew of TV-related announcements that transform the Apple TV into more of a service than a hardware product.
Will “Apple TV As Service” be available via a computer?
The Apple TV app will be available on the Mac in the fall, presumably with the next macOS release.

So far, I haven’t seen anything that says that I can continue watching Netflix through my older Apple TV or how else I can continue to watch it.
The AppleTV app turned up in the 10.3 beta which is available.
Pretty slick I have to say.
The TV+ service will probably be integrated into it rather than be its own app.
Nothing in Apple’s TV-related announcements should cause you to think that the existing Netflix app will stop working.
