Apple overhauled its base model iPad to better match the rest of the iPad lineup, but be prepared for sticker shock.
Perhaps I missed it, but this article doesn’t seem to mention that the new iPad no longer has a headphone Jack.
I noticed. And the argument they used with the iPhone, that they need the space in the case for something else, doesn’t make any sense with a device the size of an iPad.
Just a reminder that a new release is a great prompt to check the Refurbished store on Apple’s site.
I see lots of 11 Pro iPads 1st and 2nd gen at two thirds of the original price.
Good catch! It doesn’t, but I wasn’t that surprised given that the iPad mini, iPad Air, and iPad Pro models also lack the headphone jack.
One more thing the Verge noticed - though the USB port is USB-C, it is still limited to USB 2.0 speeds, unlike the other iPad models with USB-C ports, which support USB 3.0.
