This launch of Home products is surprisingly half hearted. I can understand partnering with other companies on what are essentially generic products. But the HomeView itself beyond the quick user switching feels like something that’s been on hold until Siri got to a point where it wouldn’t be embarrassing.
The CarPlay only option for apps seems a mistake. Streaming would be a big use case for these kinds of devices, and I wonder how many streaming apps have CarPlay enabled.
