It still annoys me that I cannot permanently delete any notification that drops down. Instead I can “hide” it and then later I have to go to Notification Center where it lingers forever until I get rid of it – provided I can see it because ever since they worked on broke NC it tends to hide things it believes I do not need to see. Pfft. Forced extra taps for nothing. Just stupid design.

This is a little off-topic, but I frequently get notifications from apps that when tapped just never open fully - spinner, white screen, whatever - and that notification is lost forever, since it’s already been “opened”. I’d love a short list of recently tapped notifications for when this happens. (It happens often enough that it bugs me.) iOS, iPadOS, MacOS.

I have just started using it so no report yet, but the concept resonates with me and I am excited.
(As an aside, I had read some research that the shingles vaccine was a good idea for people over 50 to prevent the chicken pox virus from re-emerging and causing a painful rash, but I didn’t jump on it. I wound up getting a severe case of shingles with a very infected left eye that put me in the hospital on intravenous antiviral and antibiotic medicine to prevent blindness. Later I got the shingles desert: postherpetic neuralgia (nerve damage caused by a herpes virus ie chicken pox virus). The bottom line is that at this point, I am more forgetful so I should be a good test subject.)
