1Password has issued 1Password 8.12.30, introducing the ability to run a local MCP server from the Developer tab so that AI assistants can access 1Password Developer tools. The password manager displays “Unknown location” without an IP address when a device’s location can’t be determined during sign-in, improves the label for the “Clear keyboard shortcut” button in Settings for screen readers, resolves an issue where changes to the pre-filled Secret Key weren’t saved when adding an account from the Found Accounts list, fixes a bug where dragging files onto the sidebar could leave destinations in the sidebar highlighted, and improves localization for some supported languages.
