Used to be Director, System Maintenance in a very non-Mac branch of a provincial government ministry. One of first DEC WPS+ installations in Ontario. Servers were 8500s, I think. About 1,000 users. Somehow managed to get agreement to connect my SE/30 to the network using Mac 240 emulation software. Introduced colleagues to Aldus Persuasion for slide presentations. (Acetates on overhead projectors, haha). Even the diehard Windows were impressed.
Now retired, relying on MBA, Mac Mini, iPad Pro 9.7 and two iPhone 11s for the computing and communication my wife and I need to do.
One of the many purchases of Adam’s Guide to the Internet Book. Online with 300 baud modem at first, then up to 1,200, ending at 56K, before going broadband. CompuServe and a free local Bulletin Board were first internet access points.
So many discontinued software products - Aldus Persuasion, Geoport modem/fax software, ClarisWorks, AppleWorks, MacWrite, MicroSoft Graph, SuperPaint, FileMaker Bento, iDVD.
