Bought first Mac in 08/84. (128K, external 400K floppy, Imagewriter I, $2,200 with academic discount). Upgraded to Fat Mac and Mac Plus myself, clipping resisters on the motherboard, etc, etc. Avoided electrocution from the picture tube capacitor, yay! Replaced three analog boards and three flyback transformers along the way.

After ten years with the original Mac 128K/512K/Plus, the following Macs: PowerBook 190cs, Blueberry iBook, white iBook (dual USB), Performa 640CD, PowerMac G3 desktop, G4 Cube, iMac 27 inch late 2009.
