Be_Kind

About Me: Mac user since the 512ke. I grew up in the SF Bay area, and before there was the internet, there was the telephone dial-up via modem to Bulletin Board Systems, in which I discovered the Usenet Discussion groups. Then came along Mosaic, the 1st version of a text based “web” browser, in a time where graphical standards were still in beta testing and there were very few graphics on the web.

I have had deafness all my life and have worn hearing aids since they had to be strapped onto the body via a leather body harness with the most uncomfortable rock hard and huge button ear pieces . And now I wear hearing aids that have more computer processing power than the 512ke Mac. In my mid twenties, I taught myself desktop publishing on that 512ke and worked my way up the chain in the Printing and Prepress career path.

Today, I now work as a homeless outreach peer support specialist where I am humbled every day to be grateful for the blessings I have in life.

What a long strange trip its been!
