Trend Micro Mac Apps Stole Users’ Browser Histories

Three Mac apps from Trend Micro—Dr. Cleaner, Dr. Antivirus, and Dr. Archiver—have been discovered to be collecting users’ browsing histories and have been removed from the Mac App Store.

Actually, six more (Open Any Files, Dr. Cleaner Pro, Dr. Cleaner Elite, Dr. Battery, Duplicate Finder, & No Sleep) were dropped on Sunday and on Monday App Uninstall, for using the same common code library.

Also, the third app you mentioned is actually Dr. Unarchiver.
