I’m kicking myself. The week before WWDC, while I was thinking about what Apple might announce, I had the idea that perhaps Apple could resolve some of its AI weaknesses and get around the Google search issues by buying Perplexity. I even wrote a paragraph and a half, complete with a mistake where I left off.
But then I bogged down. There were too many problems with the idea, and the structure I had in mind wasn’t going to work, so I shelved the piece for a bit. The other day, I figured out a better structure—providing pro and con arguments for each concern—but I didn’t get around to implementing it before, all of a sudden, the idea hit the Internet.

It’s not worth putting a lot of effort into an article now, but it just goes to show that ideas are cheap. :-)
