Is there a way to stop the area at the top of Safari windows from adopting some colour derived from the page it’s showing? It turns red, or black, or blue and I’d really rather it didn’t. I can’t find anything in the preferences.
By way of example, for bbc.co.uk/news it’s dark red, and for thedailymash.co.uk and amazon.co.uk , it’s black.

On MacOS, Preferences, Tabs pane, turn off “Show color (or colour) in tab bar”.
On iPadOS, Settings app, Safari, turn off the same option.

The controlling checkbook is in the Tabs tab of Safari Preferences.
Note that although this is the Tabs tab (see the title), the General Tab is highlighted in the ‘tab’ bar.

Thank you, Alan. Curious place for it.
(edit) Thanks Doug as well. I’d missed your post!
