Removing 32-bit software

I, periodically, get a popup on my iMac screen reminding me that XXX is only 32 bit and won’t work in the next macOS. Unfortunately, most of my bad apps don’t have update / upgrade paths and many I don’t use anymore.

So my question: Can I just go into my Application Folder and delete those Apps that I don’t care about?

Or am I going to have to look for Uninstallers to remove all their residual crud?

Thanks

Jerry

I don’t think there’s a single answer here. Some apps spread crud all over the place; others don’t.

If you have a utility like CleanMyMac X or Hazel, it will attempt to clean up residual files when you delete any app.

Thanks. Not surprised.
