Very useful as I am aCanadian that is a French speaking and writing. This application pairs well with Mac (all forms) because Aplle has always supported French!

I don’t understand why Apple doesn’t simply buy Popchar and integrate it in Mac OS X, i use popChar for… centuries… and it’s a de facto requirement in Mac OS X.

I’m curious what you use it for that makes it that essential. I’ve never found it worth the money given the free or cheaper similar tools available — Character Viewer, UnicodeChecker, and Ultra Character Map. But everyone has different needs….

I use I (I’m a former journalist, so in the past I produced a lot of text, and even now I write a lot) for any character that is not on the key board, memorizing keys strokes is something I find h-igly boring.
