Photo Archiving Techniques

A quick addendum. . . .

Producing a photo book is a great way to preserve things (Blurb, et. al.). The books are not going to be archival in the professional sense but they’ve become much better and your kids and friends will love having a book in their hands from you. (And they’ll keep it on their shelves.)

Would love to see that collection. I hope it wound up in archives in Germany or anywhere where it could be seen. My first film scanner dates from around then, bought in 2002, I think. It’s a Polaroid SprintScan 4000+, which still works and is supported by VueScan. It is undeniably slow.

I remember a MacWorld Expo in NYC around that time at which Minolta and Nikon were showing their film scanners.
