Old power adapter with new MacBook Pro

I’ve just bought a 16" MBP. I don’t really want to buy a second power adapter for about $100 if I can avoid it. Is there a way of using the Magsafe adapter from my old 15" MBP? I realise it won’t supply enough power to keep the new machine running at full tilt, but wouldn’t it be sufficient, for example, to charge the battery overnight?

Has anyone tried to do this?

Jeremy

An Amazon search shows several adapter products, but I have absolutely no clue how well any of them may work, or even if they work at all.

But hopefully this can be a starting point for reading reviews.

Thanks, David. I’d seen those, but I tend to distrust Amazon reviews. People here are generally more knowledgable, so I thought I’d ask.

I do not own a 16" MBP, but the Wirecutter does have a recommendation for a $30 power adapter that works with the 16" (scroll down to their second recommendation). See https://thewirecutter.com/reviews/best-usb-c-macbook-and-laptop-chargers/

Thanks for the suggestions. I bought this https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07CR7JYTS/ref=pe_3187911_185740111_TE_item
from Amazon and it seems to work just fine.
