An interesting development re: Apple emphasizing subscriptions to developers:
Amazon has been doing this from the start with the Kindle app and the Amazon video app. You cannot buy anything from within the app, but anything that you’ve bought elsewhere (including using the web site from safari on iOS) shows up within the app.
