Mimestream 1.9.3

Originally published at: Mimestream 1.9.3 - TidBITS

Mimestream has issued version 1.9.1 of its Gmail-specific email app to add adaptive cache eviction to reduce disk space utilization and improve performance in macOS 26 Tahoe. The release also adds OAuth-based Mimestream account sign-in and app activation, improves the efficiency of draft syncing to reduce quota usage, and makes swipe actions more configurable by adding an explicit set of secondary swipe actions. It resolves several Tahoe-related bugs, including the Find search bar being hidden in the compose window, a jittery Mark Read delay slider, failure to set an account’s color to gray, keyboard shortcuts for toggling bold and italic styles not working, and raw HTML appearing in a message when sharing from Apple News. The update also sorts out a phantom Editing Type menu item that couldn’t be selected. Subsequently, Mimestream released 1.9.2 and 1.9.3 to address Gmail API message corruption and a few additional bugs related to Tahoe, screenshots, and evicted attachments.
