macOS TV app shows AppleTV, not MLS

What’s going on with MLS on Apple TV?

For the second weekend in a row, if I click on any content in the MLS section of the Apple TV app on my Mac (26.6), I get a small overlay square charcoal window, and then TV crashes. This applies to any match or “talking heads” content.

But if I click on drama, comedy, or film content that is in the Apple TV section, a large black window appears and plays fine. And Formula 1 content works fine too.

Only MLS content is broken, and is not just unwilling to “roll”; no, it crashes the TV app.

For comparison, on a Fire TV and on iPhone (iOS 26.6), the MLS content works fine.

For a “normal” application, I would remove and reinstall the app, but of course that’s not possible for a built-in Apple application.

My workaround: Visit tv.apple.com in Brave browser, and that streams MLS content.

Have you contacted Apple to see what they say?

No problem here. An M1Max MacStudio with MacOS 26.6.

Have you tried rebooting? Check the Activity Monitor for unsual activity?

Nothing shows up in Activity Monitor that I can see during the crash.

Rebooting did not help.
