Recently iTunes opens and plays a podcast by itself. So if I don’t shutdown I hear a podcast playing. 27" iMac mid 2010 running Sierra. Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks.

Do you have pets? My cat manages to open iTunes when she runs across my keyboard (runs because I push her along if she goes too slow). I’m not sure how she does it but she does.
Does it always play the same podcast? Is that the first thing in your music list?
I often listen to a radio station on a groups website. Sometimes it buffers and stops playing. Sometimes I don’t realize it. At 3am it figures things out and comes to life at whatever volume I had during the day - and frankly at 3am ANY volume is too loud!
