For over a year I have been happily backing up some data from an M2 Macbook Air to an “old” iMac running Mojave using Chronosync. However after “upgrading” the MBA from Sonoma to Sequoia the Finder no longer sees the home directory on the iMac. The external drives connected to the iMac still appear - just the home directory (with the destination for the backup) is missing.
Both computers are connected to ethernet.
I have tried disconnecting and reconnecting to iMac in Finder. Next I will try restarting both computers but I am not hopeful.
Update: restarting the iMac did not seem to make a difference. I started a Chronosync backup to the iMac home directory anyway and it worked without complaints.
Now the iMac home directory shows up in Finder. Go figure!
