iCloud Folder In Dock Inconsistency

I have two Mac Laptops, one at home and one at work.

On one I am able to drag my iCloud side bar icon into the dock. I cannot do this on the other laptop. No special settings were required to do this on the one that enables this. Both iCloud settings seem to be the same on each computer.

According to the google chat bot, both computers should be able to “enable” this set up, yet without knowing some hidden detail I am missing, … I cannot have the iCloud folder in both docks

Thoughts please.

I have never tried dragging it from sidebar to Dock. I will try when I get home. I have always used this method
How to Add iCloud Drive to the macOS Dock and not had any problems

So tonight, I will open the iCloud Drive folder, then navigate to View > Show Path Bar then see if I can add to the dock from that.

Right now I don’t want to experiment on the one that is working, lol

For my case, I solved it

Open iCloud from Side Bar > enable Show Path > Drag iCloud icon from the bottom of folder (the path bar icon) > drag the icon to the folder area of the Dock

Voila

That’s good. The method I use, as in the link I gave, puts the iCloud Drive application in the Dock, so it goes in the Applications part of the Dock. I put it next to Finder.
