i’ve got some “photos” on my phone that i’ve no interest in importing to my mac. is there a way to tell macos photos to ignore certain files when importing from ios? my guess is no, but maybe someone has a better answer?
Try using the macOS Image Capture app (it should be in the Applications or Applications/Utilities folder). It allows you to select and save photos to Photos or a folder on the Mac and also to delete selected photos from the iPhone. There is also a setting in Photos to not automatically import photos when the iPhone is connected - right click on the iPhone icon in the sidebar I think.
