When I export one file from EyeTV to an mp4 file, it ends up as a normal file. When I select more than one and export them all, Sierra and High Sierra put them in a hidden folder called .mp4. This does not happen with Mavericks and Yosemite. The files inside are fine and I just drag them out.
Sounds like the issue is with the Elgato app creating a folder called .mp4 as opposed to mp4. The period marks it as invisible. Is there a way to set the folder default name in preferences?
I’ll check but I don’t think so. I suspect an interaction between the old app and the newer OS versions. The app works fine in the older OS versions and does not make any folders at all unless I tell it to.
