This screenshot shows PDF email attachments that I moved/saved from Apple Mail into a Finder window (Sequoia 15.7.1). Initially I didn’t realise that I could’ve selected several emails and use File>Save Attachments to get many with just one command. I have over 200 to do, an attempt to save all of the 200 in one go gave me less than the expected amount of files, I had to do them in portions of 20-50 to get the correct result. Job done.
In list mode I now see the letter icon as shown in the screenshot, nothing new. But A) it doesn’t show for all of the files, although all of them were once an email attachment. And B) I saw some of the letter icons disappear in front of my eyes one by one. A day later some files have the icon, some not. Why?
