I primarily use Carrot. I was a long time Dark Sky user, and I liked that UI and set of features/display. Carrot recapitulates that. I do use Apple Weather, but as a secondary source. The display of data in Apple Weather is annoying and not nearly as useful to me.

I use Apple Weather first, but also like the interface in Hello Weather and use that as a secondary view, and thirdly I like Clime-NOAA Weather Radar Live for the maps.

I miss DarkSky. It was easy to find humidity in the forecasts which is often more important than mere temperature. It also provided me with more information in general, including on pollen rates and such. The interface was superior in my opinion even if it wasn’t as splashy. Apple Weather wastes screen space for pretty displays and then makes me squint at small type.

But tend to use my AppleWatch Weather features “Conditions & Wind” on the Modular face all the time.

I’m not paying north of $39.99 a year to get weather on some other apps. While I like carrot, I’m not paying for the premium edition just to be able to use it’s home screen widget. I’m so tired of renting software. I’ll take good enough with Apple weather over something else just on this issue.

I first use Apple’s Weather, then I check AccuWeather, which is a little more sophisticated. Its radar is better than Apple’s Weather.

I have used Weather Underground (Wunderground) on my Mac for many years.

I’ve been using Weather Mate Pro for a few years and find it very accurate and easy to use. If I recall, it only costs $3.99 which is absurdly inexpensive for what you get.

I find it easy to use and with every feature one could possibly need. I’m a retired airline pilot so I know a thing or two about the weather.

I agree. We use an Ambient weather station to find out current conditions and it reports to the Wunderground to provide us with (somewhat) custom forecasts. Here on Vancouver Island, there are no reliable weather forecasts. Most forecasts focus on cities where the most significant population resides.

CARROT for general information, Storm Radar to track storms, SmartMixin to access my Tempest weather station (Carrot pulls data from my Tempest as well). Always used Dark Sky prior to Apple acquiring it.

I quick check Apple weather on my watch face each morning, then open the iPhone if uncertain. When bad weather threatens, I use a RadarScope app subscription for better weather tracking.

I use the weather app as well as Hello Weather because it shows both C and F. I have my apple watch set up so I can see the temperature from one in one and the other in the other form. Unfortuntely I can’t get them to agree
