MTW has released CleanShot X 4.8.9 with enhanced compatibility for the upcoming macOS 27 Golden Gate. The screenshot utility (see “Why I Use Multiple Screenshot Utilities on the Mac,” 5 January 2026) addresses the following issues for those using Golden Gate: capturing window screenshots, a crash that occurred when using the “Ask for name after every capture” option, and hiding desktop icons.
