CES: Two new docks/hubs from Hyper

I just saw announcements for two products that look like they will be really great if they work as advertised:

HyperDrive Turntable Dock For iMac With 360° Swivel

This is a dock built-in to a swivel-stand designed to go under a 24" iMac. It integrates:

  • SSD enclosure (up to 2TB of m.2 SATA or NVMe storate)
  • HDMI output
  • SD card slot (full-size and micro)
  • One downstream USB-C port
  • Four downstream USB-A ports
  • MSRP of $200

Thunderbolt 4 Power Hub

This is a compact Thunderbolt 4 hub, that provides:

  • Three downstream TB4 ports (that support daisy-chaining)
  • 32 Gbit/s PCIe data, to support eGPUs and other high-bandwidth devices
  • Internal 100W power supply (no external wall wart)
  • Providing 15W power to each of the downstream ports
  • Providing 96W power to the upstream host (so it can charge laptops)
  • Pricing is still TBA, unfortunately
