That would seem to contradict the information that 3rd party sites have listed. Since Optimum has a financial interest in making it hard to get this information, I would risk using a modem listed from this site if I also had got a no-cost return guarantee that was longer than the period needed to verify that I could connect the 3rd party solution worked.
