Just wanted to give a positive data point here. Through Sonoma, I kept running into a bug on Mac OS – when my kid made a request for more screen time on his iPad, that request would come through in Messages in a group chat with the kid and my wife. On iOS/iPad OS I could respond to these just fine. Under Mac OS, not only could I not respond to these messages, but if I left the tab containing the group chat open in the Messages app, eventually a process would eat up my memory and grind my computer to a halt.
Under Sequoia this seems to be gone – I can both read and respond to the Screen Time requests in Messages on my Mac, and leaving one of those chat tabs selected does not seem to cause any problems.
