This it definitely sounds like there’s either a hardware or software failure in the router.

Before resigning yourself to forever be rebooting your router (a work-around, but not really a solution):

  • Check for a firmware update. This might be a bug that an update could fix
  • Report the bug to TP-Link’s support people. Even if they can’t help you right away, they might be unaware of the problem. They might also be willing to perform a warranty exchange

Depending on when you bought the router, you might be able to get the seller to exchange it for another unit. It may be worth reaching out to the seller for some assistance.
