Facing slowing AppleCare sales, Apple is extending how long you can buy AppleCare+ after purchasing a device from 60 days to a full year.

I recall it used to be that you had a full year to sign up to Applecare at some point in the past… what’s old is new again!

That was ‘regular’ AppleCare. Didn’t cover accidental damage, but OTOH it also never required to go have it “inspected”.

Yes, I’ve always waited a few months to buy AppleCare, except for my iPhone and iPad which I bought right away.
