Apple has announced a new gaming service, Apple Arcade, but it will be several months before we know much about it since the company provided almost no firm details.
I doubt Apple would be interested, but I’d like to pay for a service that just makes old games accessible in a legal manner and without me having to worry about emulators and ROM files. I have a feeling I’d enjoy playing Ports of Call or Civilization v2 a whole lot more than many of the fancy new releases.
It’s interesting that Google announced a streaming game service a few days before Apple, and announced even fewer details:

I remember reading that Disney and Verizon are making noises about streaming games too.
