Apple has released macOS High Sierra 10.13.6 Supplemental Update for MacBook Pro (2018) to address the performance problems experienced by early adopters of the latest MacBook Pro models when they were running under heavy thermal loads.
In the article it states that the update, 10.13.6, will not be made available to older computers. Yet on both my 2010 Mac Mini and my 2015 MBP I get a notice to upgrade. Go figure.
The article is about the 10.13.6 Supplemental Update, which is only available for 2018 T2 MBP’s. What you received was the previously released 10.13.6 Update which came out earlier and is available to all 10.13.x users.
