I see what you mean regarding the lack of annual figures quoted. The clearest would have been for them to say, “an increase of $1.40/month or $16.80/year.” I’m still not a fan of percentages for this kind of thing. It’s the absolute cost that determines affordability and value for any individual. If a £3/year app increases by 41%, that’s only £4.23/year which I’m probably not going to care about. If a £100/year app increases to £141/year, I am likely going to start re-evaluating.

or they could quote the increase in # of Big Macs…there is some sort of universality to that currency
I made this point to Michael Simmons directly too. It’s entirely legitimate to quote monthly price increases when it’s billed monthly (which is an option, though I can’t see many reasons why anyone would use it), but once people are paying annually, I agree that the numbers should be quoted that way.
And I made the daily analogy too, where it’s JUST A NICKEL PER DAY!

Nickels are a bit like hen’s teeth here and are therefore are quite expensive

BusyCal (and BusyContacts) for me, too. For well over a decade.

Don’t forget the 8.52¢ it costs the American taxpayers to mint that nickel!
