Running with Crayons has released Alfred 5.7.2 with a File Search fallback ranking overhaul. The keyboard-driven launcher will now request files from macOS in a pre-sorted order due to changes in the underlying metadata index (but you can return to the previous sorting behavior in the File Search settings). The update also adds support for updated Recent Documents in macOS 26 Tahoe, updates parsing of lists in Alfred’s Markdown processor, and ensures Contacts search works with multiple first names.
