Affinity 3.3

Originally published at: Affinity 3.3 - TidBITS

Canva has released Affinity 3.3, adding new graphic design, photo editing, page layout, automation, and AI features to the creative suite. The update introduces a Blend tool, a Measure tool that creates persistent dimension lines, diffusion curves as a gradient fill type, RAW develop presets that are available globally rather than per document, support for importing InDesign (.indd) and Microsoft Publisher (.pub) files, and scripting capabilities that allow you to build and save your own creative effects and automations. Plus, it brings a Generative Upscale tool that lets you choose between a faithful style that stays close to the source and a creative style that adds detail. The release also improves page numbering and copy-and-paste behavior, resolves a crash when exporting a document containing ligatures on path text to a fixed-layout EPUB, and fixes a hang when inserting a Table of Contents heading. (Free with Canva account, 1.04 GB, release notes, macOS 12+)

What I was most pleased about is they finally have scripting (based on JavaScript). I have a LOT of ARexx scripts to port.
