Ad blocker in Brave

Adam, I use Dashlane in Brave and haven’t encountered this but I have a question about extensions. I have used uBlock Origin for years in Chrome then Brave but I noticed that Brave claims to have built-in ad-blocking so I switched the extension off. So far, after several weeks, I have not noticed any difference. Do you block ads? If so, how?

BTW, one of the reasons I do not use Safari is the lack of extensions.

I keep Brave’s Shields turned on for nearly all sites, and that provides a level of ad blocking that I’m happy with. It’s likely that some of the ad blockers do a more complete job, or offer more customizability, but there’s a limit to how much I want to think about it.
