Any help would be appreciated. I returned from a 14 day trip to Europe, where I took a lot of photos (about 2,000). Anxious about losing them if I lost the phone while abroad, I added photo backup to my iCloud account, and also backed pictures up every few days by using Airdrop to transfer them to my iPad. Once home, I downloaded the photos onto my iMac (Sierra 10.12.5), putting them in iPhoto (9.6.1) (I’m not using Photos yet). When I started looking at them, it turned out that many from the first part of the trip are missing. They aren’t in the Photos app on the iPhone, nor in the Recently Deleted folder on the phone, nor on iCloud, nor on the iPad. I did an iTunes backup after the trip, but don’t think that iTunes backs up the photos. Anybody had a similar experience, and especially any other way to look for missing photos on the iPhone?
