Printing from zinio on ipad

Sharp James M.
Good morning.

I'm trying to reduce paper and read magazines and other pubs on my iPad via Zinio.  Query:  How do I print just an article that I want to save/send?

Many thanks.

I can’t imagine that is something Zinio would ever allow.

"I am" is reportedly the shortest sentence in the English language.
Could it be that "I do" is the longest sentence?

If I'm paying for the subscription, as I would if it was on paper, why not?

I believe the desktop client let's you print, but the iPad version lacks that feature.

About the best you can do is to activate the "print screen" function.

While holding down the power button at the top of the iPad, click on the "Home" button. You should see the screen flash for a second.

Then open the Photos application. You should see the screen shot there so you can print it. The print quality is far from perfect but hopefully it will be sufficient for your needs.

Of course, right now, for many of us, the latest version of Zinio for the iPad crashes immediately after starting (see comments in the App Store). It seems to me that the best option is to download the particular issues you wish to print to the Zinio computer app (which should also be free) and use the print option there to print the pages you wish to have.  If you are subscribed to a magazine through Zinio, you are not restricted to downloading it to only one device.

Apparently, Zinio for the iPad doesn't support printing as of yet.
However, according to this post
<http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=1161286>, Zinio will be
adding that feature.

Good question, but even on the desktop Zinio severely restricts printing.

I believe you are limited to printing two consecutive pages with one print command.  So, if you want to print out a long multi-page article, you have to do it two pages at a time.

It also disables the save to PDF option.  So, if you wanted to, say email an article to someone, no can do.

Of course, it doesn't seem to be smart about detecting CUPS-PDF, so you could generate PDFs that way (I think).  But of course you would have to do it two pages at a time and reassemble the pages.
